I bought 20 HK-15148B on 6th March for a project which got delayed, I have just started to use them. However the first 9 I tried failed within a few seconds to a few minutes, they do not respond and take about 150mA. I have used a lot of servos in my time and have bought a lot from you all without problem except 4 fake Tower Pro from an English company. 13:43:51 There seems to be something wrong with the batch. I have had to go back to HK-15148 Analog which work perfectly. How do I return them? David14:01:23 Sorry for the delay in replying. I am looking at the RMA guide Operator is typing... PS 114:01:56 No problem, sir. This video also shows the RMA process, sir: RMA FORMS - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBijUQupHoI David14:02:11 Thank you PS 114:02:41 You are most welcome, sir. I have also raised this issue with our Product Team to investigate your issue. Operator Justina has left the chat. David14:06:55 What happened is very strange, I have used servo by the hundreds for a long time and never had such a problem. It seems to me that the control program in the servo becomes corrupted at power on. Some of the servos strated to move slowly and eratically a few seconds before they stopped working completely. After theyfail they take about 150mA all the time. I should point out that I replaced the HK-15148B with some HK-15148 Analog servos I had and they work fine. Operator is typing... PS 114:11:41 Ok. David, please make sure you send a video clip of them malfunctioning, please. David14:12:35 When they stop working they don't move at all! I will see if I can video one failing PS 114:13:31 You can also show them not functioning at all, but if you can get one twitching, that would be even better:) David14:13:57 ok, thank you PS 114:14:47 You are very welcome. 14:14:53 Can I help you with anything else today? David14:15:24 No I think that is all, thank you. PS 114:15:37 Excellent:) Thank you for choosing Hobby King for your RC needs. Have a great day! David14:15:47 Bye PS 114:16:00 Cheers The chat was ok but it would have been good to talk to an expert since I would like to know why the HK-15148B servos failed one after the other when the HK-15148 Analog ones work fine.
