As refurbished for the Science Museum London, 2013
In maybe early 2013 Ben Russell, Curator of Mechanical Engineering at the Science Museum, London, contacted Shadow, viewed the disassembled biped which by then had got covered in plaster dust from urgent building work, and said the Museum would like it for their Permanent Collection. In November 2013 I collected it, cleaned and refurbished and assembled it, and took it to the Science Museum for display at the Director's 2013 Christmas Drinks Party where they show off to invited guests the latest acquisitions.

2000 after arriving at my house
In 1999 I think the Shadow Biped was hanging on the wall in Shadow's workshop in London.
I can't remember the details but I must have suggested to Richard Greenhill that I continue work on it and transported it to my house in Oldham, However shortly after a photographer contacted Richard because he wanted to take photographs of it for some exhibition of a modern version of Michael Angelo's Pietà . He came to Oldham and took the Biped back to London where it stayed until the Japanese paid Shadow to take it to Robodex 2002
Robot Olympics 1990, Glasgow. - Shadow Biped - front
The trousers were to hide the construction of the Shadow McKibben Muscles because TAG (Technology Applications Group) were also building experimental robots using pneumatics.
