Welcome to The Robot Channel!
This effort began in December 1999, with an opening editorial on the
film Bicentennial
Man starring Robin Williams. The second and third editorials It's the Software, Stupid
and The Last Program lay beginning groundwork for an
interactive Robot Channel project that is in the making on self-evolving
software for autonomous robots. AI, The Movie is
a guest editorial by Nelson Winkless on the movie,
A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), produced by Stephen Spielberg.
The Projects, Contests and Links sections will now be revised more
and more regularly with very current material intended to serve as
a baseline for our ongoing coverage of the emerging science of
autonomous
robots.
A new autonomous personal robot of our own is in the works. Check out the
"X-Robot" project in the Projects section.
The robot kits, robot books, robot simulation software, toys and posters you will find in the E-Store
offer a selection of products that will increasingly be focused on the
autonomous robot world. Enjoy what's available now and plan
to return regularly.
Your suggestions for this activity sent to me care of robotchannel@aol.com are most welcome.
Autonomous robots are an evolution and a revolution you do not want to miss.
