2024 August - Repair of second step
Some years ago I was rushing down the stairs and slipped and my foot hit one of the treads hard and split it at one side. I placed a toy bear at that side to remind me and others not to step on the tread at that side. In August 2024 I decided to repair it. Access from the back would have meant tearing out the Pantry ceiling so I cut out the riser instead.
2023 February
When I moved into this house there was an old step-ladder in the shed which leaked. After replacing the shed with a new one I decided to refurbish the step-ladder using a paint stripper pad on an angle-grinder and a similar pad on a small pneumatic tool. Also I removed and wire brushed the hinges then sprayed them black.
