- Peter Holland's Tri Pedal Ambulatory Locomotive from the mid 50s, which entranced me as soon as I saw it in the MAP plans handbook.
- Dr Fiorito's Giant humanoid robot Cygan (sic) in Radio Control Models & Electronics, September 1960.
I saw this outside a Ford dealership in (I think) Leeds in about 1963.
Actually Cygan was really named Gygan.
